SIZE:
Cole has very good size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6'1" 195 lbs. He’s a quick hitting QB who gets the ball to his receivers in a hurry. Very agile within the pocket, able to create additional passing lanes for himself. Throws with a high release point for added height.
ACCURACY:
Very accurate at the short and intermediate range. His throws are made with consistency and sound mechanics. Shows good anticipation of his receivers locations, demonstrating good timing and ball placement.
ARM STRENGTH:
His passes include high velocity throws that get through the secondary in a hurry. He strikes quickly, allowing the defense very little time to react. Solid vertical passing game, with deep passes over coverage.
THROW ON RUN:
Cole's an athletic QB who can move around with good speed and footwork. He gets to the outside with balanced stride and quickness. Sets up nicely with his receivers as he squares up to them.
FOOTWORK:
Excellent footwork in and out of the pocket with good lateral movement. A quick first step with accelerated speed. Good spacing and balance on his dropbacks.
POISE:
A confident QB who wasted very little time getting the ball to his receivers. Good sense of the space around his in the pocket.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He works quickly, hitting his targets with laser strikes within the short and intermediate range. But can also demonstrate good patience waiting for a play to develop.
DECISION MAKING:
Does a nice job reading the defense prior to snap, picking up on hidden opportunities. He should continue to improve on his ability to work through his progressions with more game experience.
TOUCH:
Shows good touch on his deep passes with an efficient trajectory. Able to adjust the velocity of his throws for a softer release at short and intermediate range.
