SIZE:
Charles has very good size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6'1" 185 lbs. He does a nice job working his way in and around the backfield to create open passing lanes for himself. Throws the ball with an over the top delivery, adding height to his throws. Had a huge season with 3,100 total yards and 33 touchdowns.
ACCURACY:
He shows good anticipation of his receivers routes. Makes completions with good ball placement.
ARM STRENGTH:
He shows good range able to hit on high velocity throws. Can make all the throws required of him, able to hit in all areas of the field.
RELEASE:
He throws with an over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. Good footwork on his drop backs.
THROW ON RUN:
Displays good speed and quickness getting to the outside as he works to get in line with his receivers.
FOOTWORK:
He displays the ability to become elusive out in the open field. Solid footwork on his drop backs and set ups.
POISE:
He shows confidence in his abilities as a QB, able to take advantage of what the defense gives him.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Charles has a good feel for the space around him. He’s difficult to contain within the pocket, showing good agility and elusiveness.
DECISION MAKING:
He’s a quick hitting QB who makes quick reads and delivers with decisive throws. Does a good job working through his progressions as he works from his primary targets to his secondary outlets.
TOUCH:
Charles is able to make the right adjustments to the velocity of his throws, creating a softer touch when needed.
