SIZE:
Dylan has good size for a 2021 Dual Threat QB at 6'2" 195 lbs. He’s a strong running QB who’s capable of taking on would-be tacklers. Shows good vision over the line of scrimmage.
ACCURACY:
A very accurate passer if given the time and space to throw. He’s able to hit his receivers with tight spiral passes, which are catchable. In-line with his receivers at the short and intermediate range.
ARM STRENGTH:
Good momentum through his arm motion progression. Able to generate increased velocity upon release. He’s able to fire the ball into tight windows of space within the secondary.
RELEASE:
Dylan throws with an over the top delivery and fully extended arm motion. His release is fluid and consistent.
THROW ON RUN:
He’s got very good speed and quickness. Able to get to the outside in a hurry with the potential of taking off at any moment. Very dangerous out in the open field.
FOOTWORK:
A gifted track runner, breaking school records in 100m hurdles. He’s got speed! Able to create a separation from would-be tacklers with his burst of speed.
POISE:
Very confident in his abilities as a QB. He shows good patience when looking over the defensive scheme, picking them apart. Major upside for this QB.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very difficult to contain within the pocket. He’s extremely athletic, able to move freely in and around the pocket.
DECISION MAKING:
Does a nice job locating his primary receiver, delivering sharp throws. Shows controlled aggressiveness, making plays with efficiency.
TOUCH:
Not only is he able to fire the ball into the secondary, he also shows good adjustment on the velocity of his throws for a softer touch. Could work to improve of the trajectory of his deep passes, allowing for less air underneath.
