SIZE:
Edwin has good size for a 2020 Pro Style QB at 6’1” 195 lbs. He stands tall in the pocket, showing good patience and toughness. He works within a spread formation offense, able to deliver quick hitters. Does a nice job moving in and around the pocket with good agility.
ACCURACY:
He displays very good accuracy in his short and intermediate game, while remaining consistent on his deeper passes. When he's given the time and space to set up properly, he's dead on.
ARM STRENGTH:
Edwin can fire it into the secondary with high velocity. He throws with a quick release, getting the ball to his receivers in a hurry. Able to thread the needle within zone coverage. He’s got a solid vertical game, able to go long when the opportunity strikes.
RELEASE:
Edwin's throws are make with an over the top delivery with a full arm extension. Very good footwork prior to set up.
THROW ON RUN:
He's most comfortable within the pocket but can get to the outside when needed. He does a great job avoiding traffic while moving laterally, maintaining his focus down field.
FOOTWORK:
Displays a quick first step, able to move in all directions. He’s not labeled a Dual Threat but can pick up yardage on short down situations.
POISE:
Edwin's a very confident QB, who’s perfecting his craft with more game experience. Good awareness of the space around him, demonstrating a calm under pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
This is where Edwin is most comfortable. He sets up in a hurry, while showing good patience as he waits for the play to develop, taking the hit soon after. Good awareness of defensive pressure and using his internal clock to get the ball off on time.
DECISION MAKING:
An intelligent QB who’s able to pick up on his best option receiver. He’s able to work through from his primary target down to his secondary outlets.
TOUCH:
Hard throwing QB at the short and intermediate range while in the pocket. He’s able to work in a soft delivery, getting it in between zone coverage.
