SIZE:
Carter has good size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6'2" 175 lbs. He’s a quick hitting QB who gets the ball out quickly. High release point for added height. Able to generate strong forward momentum on his delivery with a fully extended arm motion. A tough running QB who's takes on would-be tacklers for additional yardage.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, showing good anticipation and timing. Throws made with a tight spiral, getting to his receivers in a hurry.
ARM STRENGTH:
His throws include high velocity, getting through the secondary in a hurry. His throws come from way back, able to generate strong momentum.
RELEASE:
Throws with an over the top delivery, including a high release point. Fully extended arm motion. He shows good footwork as he works into his set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Carter's an athletic QB who's able to get to the outside with good quickness and speed. Strong forward momentum on his throws, as he zones in on his target.
FOOTWORK:
Very good agility within the pocket, able to move in all directions, while creating additional space for himself. Works the read option with precise footing and spacing.
POISE:
Picks up on the defensive pressure, able to maneuver away from traffic. Good feel for the space around him. He’s a confident QB who trusts in his abilities as a QB.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He uses the entire backfield as his work area. Can sit in the pocket or take it to the outside, opening up additional passing lanes.
DECISION MAKING:
Carter does a nice job locating his primary targets with his initial read on the defense. He displays excellent vision downfield while on the run, seeking out open lanes in between defenders.
TOUCH:
A strong throwing QB who will work to perfect his make the right adjustments to the velocity of his throws.
