SIZE:
Joe has very good size for a 2020 Dual Threat QB at 6’2” 200 lbs. He does a nice job seeking out targets on initial read. A tough QB with a strong running game, taking on would-be tacklers for additional yardage. Good height, able to see through the line of scrimmage while surveying field.
ACCURACY:
His throws are made with the ability for his receivers to make a play on it. Displays good ball placement, away from the defender.
ARM STRENGTH:
Joe gets the ball to his receivers in a hurry. His short and intermediate throws are made with high velocity. Able to get the ball up and over defensive coverage, throws made with tight trajectory.
RELEASE:
Joe delivers the ball with a very high release point, adding lift to his throws. An over the top delivery with a three quarter arm motion, getting the ball off in a hurry.
THROW ON RUN:
A very athletic QB who’s capable of making big plays while outside the pocket. He’s very quick getting to the outside, can be deadly while on the run.
FOOTWORK:
A quick first step moving in all directions. Great burst of speed and mobility while out in the open field. Creates separation from the defense.
POISE:
Joe’s in full control of the game situation. He plays above the game, able to turn it up at any time. Good awareness of defensive pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable in the pocket, able to assess the defense, while executing the play. Confident in his abilities as a passer and runner.
DECISION MAKING:
This is an area in which Joe will work to improve on. Able to work from his primary targets on down to his secondary outlets.
TOUCH:
Has very good touch, able to get the ball in between zone coverage, making plays within the secondary.
