SIZE:
Tanner has very good size for a 2022 Pro Style QB at 6’3” 205 lbs. He plays at a higher level than the players on the field. Able to control the flow of the game with his play. Very agile in and out of the pocket especially to the outside, where he's very dangerous.
ACCURACY:
His throws are on time with good anticipation, displaying very good ball location. Does an excellent job delivering the ball a softer release, allowing for a very catchable ball.
ARM STRENGTH:
Tanner can make all of the throws required of him with good range. His short and intermediate game include high velocity passes, he can also add some finesse when needed. Loses a bit of strength on his deeper passes.
RELEASE:
Throwing mechanics are consistent and very well put together. He throws with an over the top delivery, including a full extended arm motion. Solid footwork on his dropbacks and setups.
THROW ON RUN:
The complete package, a proven pocket passer with the ability to take it in and go from play action. He’s a defense’s worst nightmare when he gets to the outside, many weapons in his arsenal.
FOOTWORK:
Tanner's an athletic QB who is also very competitive. He displays a quick first step and can turn up the burners when needed. Excellent footwork within the pocket, moving quickly laterally as he works to create space.
POISE:
Very confident in his QB abilities, able to change the flow of a game with his play. His play on the field ignites others around him to want to excel.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Does a great job detecting the pass rush, able to escape while displaying his play making abilities.
DECISION MAKING:
An intelligent QB who works through his progressions with sound judgment. He’s very decisive when he sees an opportunity within the secondary.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength for Tanner, making the proper adjustments to the velocity of his throws while creating a softer touch.
