Scouting Report

SIZE:
Houston has very good size for a 2022 Pro Style QB at 6’1” 205 lbs. He displays good vision downfield while creating space for himself opening up additional passing lanes. He should be able to add bulk to his frame over the next few years before entering the collegiate level.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, adding a tight spiral upon release. Shows good timing and ball placement as he leads his receivers in stride.
ARM STRENGTH:
Displays throws that are made with high velocity at the short and intermediate range. Able to extend the field with his deep passes.
RELEASE:
Houston throws with an over the top delivery made with a three-quarter extension. The ball comes across in a hurry. Would like to see a higher release point, adding lift to the ball, along with full extension for increased range.THROW ON RUN:
Shows solid footwork and mobility as he gets to the outside. He’s able to square his body up with his intended target as he releases the ball with forward momentum.
FOOTWORK:
An athletic QB with quick steps on his dropbacks, and sets up well prior to delivery. He demonstrates good speed out in the open field.
POISE:
With more game experience at the varsity level, Houston will gain more confidence as he works to perfect his craft. He does a nice job mixing it up with a variety of throws, connecting with numerous receivers.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good agility and movement in and around the pocket. Able to maintain his focus while working his way through traffic.
DECISION MAKING:
Houston's able to use the entire field as he hits his targets with decisive throws that get there in a hurry.
TOUCH:
He does a nice job taking something off the ball, adding a softer release.Very good trajectory at long range.
