SIZE:
Jimmy has very good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 180 lbs. He has all of the tools needed to become an elite high school QB prospect. A tall lengthy QB who can make plays on the field. He does a nice job creating space for himself, while waiting patiently for the play to develop. Lots of upside, huge potential.
ACCURACY:
This is an area in which he excels in. Able to hit his receivers with passes that are in-line and catchable including tight spirals. He’s deadly over the middle, throwing darts with good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
His vertical game is one of his strengths, able to extend the field with bombs made over defensive coverage.
RELEASE:
He has an over the top delivery that comes across with a fully extended arm release. Able to generate momentum through his arm motion, creating greater velocity throws.
THROW ON RUN:
Jimmy is most comfortable within the pocket, but can take it to the outside with solid footwork and mobility. His throws are made with precision, able to maintain his accuracy while on the run..
FOOTWORK:
Good agility in and around the pocket. Shows good quickness and stride moving laterally as he tries to create additional space for himself.
POISE:
Jimmy displays the maturity needed to lead his team as well and the patience and calm needed to get through difficult situation. He leads by example, showing his teammates his toughness as he overcomes adversity.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Jimmy's a tough competitor who doesn’t give up on a play. He seeks out every opportunity downfield being throwing in the towel. Extending the play with his ability to navigate himself around the pocket for added space.
DECISION MAKING:
A very intelligent QB who’s able to read the defense and locate his best option receiver. Doesn’t take many chances with dangerous throws into tight coverage. When he does, he makes sure that the ball gets there in a hurry with solid ball placement.
TOUCH:
He does a nice job making the right adjustments with his throws, with high velocity throws or by taking something off for a soft touch
