SIZE:
Beau has very good size for a 2020 Dual Threat QB at 6’2’ 205 lbs. He stands in the pocket with a tall platform, able to survey the entire field or he can get to the outside and make things happen. A hybrid of a QB, able to makes plays from anywhere in the backfield. High release point gives him added height to his throws.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, showing precision passes made at the short and intermediate range. Good anticipation and timing with his receivers over the middle. Does not lose much accuracy on the run. 68% comp rate last season.
ARM STRENGTH:
Beau has great size, which gives him an extended arm motion and the ability to make big throws.This allows for him to get over the top, giving him a solid vertical passing game. Passes made within the secondary include high velocity throws.
RELEASE:
Throws with a classic over the top delivery with a high release point. His accuracy increases when he's able to get his feet in place prior to set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Beau's an athletic QB who’s able to get to the outside with fluid movement. He shows good forward momentum upon delivery as he fires the ball toward his intended targets.
FOOTWORK:
For a QB of his size, Beau does an excellent job getting around. Very good quickness at 4.8/40, able to create added space for himself within the pocket.
POISE:
Shows good patience in the pocket as he waits for his receivers to break on their routes. Not easily distracted by the noise around him.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Beau throws with a tall platform, displaying good balance and stride. Works well with his offensive unit. Able to execute plays from beginning to end.
DECISION MAKING:
He does a nice job going through his progressions, from his primary target on down to his secondary outlets.
TOUCH:
Able to adjust the velocity of his throws, creating a softer release at the short and intermediate range. Very good touch on the deeper routes, displaying solid trajectory with just enough air underneath.
