SIZE:
Braden has excellent size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6’4” 195 lbs. Braden stands out in the backfield, able to see the entire field, standing in the pocket with a tall platform. With his size comes a strong arm, able to extend the defensive coverage with a dangerous vertical passing game.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, displaying a tight spiral and catchable ball. He shows good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Displaying very good location on his throws, allowing his receivers to make a play on it.Does great job with play action, connecting quickly over the middle. Threw for a 61% comp rate this past season.
ARM STRENGTH:
This is one of his best attributes as a QB, the ability to make throws with high velocity, getting to his receivers in a hurry. He can make long range passes with ease, extending defensive coverage.
RELEASE:
Braden throws the ball with a fully extended arm motion that comes from over the top. Excellent footwork on his dropbacks and set ups, adding to his accuracy.
THROW ON RUN:
For a QB of his size, he displays very good quickness getting to the outside. Solid body rotation as he lines up with his receivers.
FOOTWORK:
Braden's an athletic QB who shows good mobility around the pocket, doing an excellent job stepping up in the pocket. Serves as a running QB at short yardage opportunities.
POISE:
He’s very confident in his abilities as a QB, shows good patience while waiting for his receivers breaks. Very calm under pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Shows a good awareness of incoming pressure, not easily distracted by the noise around him. He does a nice job creating space for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
Braden's a very intelligent QB who displays good judgment when locating his primary target downfield. Able to egt a good read on defense coverage, throwing darts into the secondary. Works well through his progressions.
TOUCH:
Has the quality of adding a soft touch on his throws with the ability to make adjustments on the velocity of his throws.
