SIZE:
Elijah has excellent size for a 2024 QB at 6’4” 215 lbs. He throws the ball with a high release point, giving added height to his delivery.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, giving his receivers a chance to make a play on the ball. Good anticipation of his receivers routes. He can work to sharpen up on his delivery to create a tighter trajectory.
ARM STRENGTH:
He’s able to make all of the required throws with very good velocity. His vertical game is a major strength, able to extend the field with deep passes over the secondary.
RELEASE:
Elijah has an over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion, allowing for increased momentum, fully energized release. Able to set up properly for added accuracy.
THROW ON RUN:
Shows very good athleticism while getting to the outside. Able to square up with his receivers, while hitting his targets on the go.
FOOTWORK:
He’s a long stride running QB who can pick up yards in a hurry. Shows good mobility and balance while on the run.
POISE:
Elijah's does a great job leading his offensive unit. A manger while on the field who follows through on play execution.He does a nice job avoiding incoming pressure, able to set up in the pocket, while creating space for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
This will be an area he'll continue to improve on with more game experience. Very decisive with his throws.
TOUCH:
He’s able to take off something on his short and intermediate throws, creating a softer touch in certain passing situations. Can work to allow for less air underneath at long range.
