SIZE:
Ahmad has excellent size for a 2029 Dual Threat QB at 5'9" 130 lbs. He’s a tall presence in the pocket, able to oversee the entire field for possible targets. He's in early development as a QB but has shown much improvement from last year. A strong running QB’s who takes on would-be tacklers. High release point, adding lift to the trajectory.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers. Shows good anticipation of routes along with proper ball placement. Can work to tighten up on his throwing motion, reducing the variability for more consistency.
ARM STRENGTH:
His throws are made with high velocity, getting the ball to his receivers in a hurry. Demonstrates the ability to extend the field with his vertical passing game.
THROW ON RUN:
Ahmad's an athletic QB who shows good quickness getting to the outside. Works well through his rotation as he squares up with his target.
FOOTWORK:
For a QB of Ahmad's size, he does a nice job getting his feet in the proper positioning prior to release. Would like to see him add a quicker first step.
POISE:
Picks up on incoming pressure, working with the space around him. With more game reps along with added training, his confidence level will continue to rise.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Displays good agility within the pocket, able to step up or move laterally when space is limited. I would like to see him stay in the pocket longer as he waits for the play to develop.
DECISION MAKING:
With more game experience, Ahmad will be able to work on his ability to go through his progressions.
TOUCH:
As he continues to work on his arm strength, it’ll make for a nice complement of his game. The ability to make adjustments within velocity.
