SIZE:
AJ has very good size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6’3” 194 lbs. He stands tall in the pocket, firing bullets into the secondary for his intended targets. He wastes very little time making decisive throws. Able to seek out opportunities downfield taking advantage of defensive weaknesses.
ACCURACY:
He gives his receivers the ability to make big plays. His throws are made with a tight spiral, making for a very catchable ball. Good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Very consistent with his delivery, adding to his accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
This is a strength of area for AJ. His high velocity throws get to his receivers in a hurry. The defense is left with no time to react. He can fire the ball into tight windows of space or let it fly over defensive coverage.
RELEASE:
AJ throws the ball from many different angles. Whether its a side arm delivery or an over the top release, he's able to adjust the his release point in any given situation. Can fling that ball like a boomerang, getting it off in a hurry.
THROW ON RUN:
Very athletic QB who can be quite dangerous out on the outside, able to seek out potential targets. Shows excellent vision downfield.
FOOTWORK:
He’s very difficult to contain within the pocket while can become elusive out in the open field. His steps are sharp and his movement is smooth.
POISE:
Extremely confident in his abilities as a QB. He controls the pace of a game and can turn it up at any moment, a play maker.
DECISION MAKING:
Very decisive with his throws downfield, wasting very little time getting the ball off. Displays a calm aggressiveness while attacking the defense. Taking chances when he sees an opportunity, trusting in his receivers.
Touch:
He does a great job adjusting the velocity of his passes. Can take something off on a fade route or fire it in between defenders. Able to add a softer touch when needed.
