SIZE:
Alex has good size for a 2021 Dual Threat 5'11" 180 lbs. He works the entire field, able to create additional passing lanes for himself, displays very good vision downfield.
ACCURACY:
It doesn’t matter whether its in the pocket of out in the open field, he nails almost every throw. Showing very good timing and anticipation of his receivers routes. Very good ball location on his throws.
ARM STRENGTH:
He makes defenses pay for giving him the deep gaps within a secondary. Solid vertical passing game, can let it fly. Throws made in the short and intermediate range include high velocity throws with added strength and momentum.
RELEASE:
Alex throws with a over the top delivery that comes across with increased acceleration. Very smooth arm motion.
THROW ON RUN:
This is where Alex does his best work, out on the go with the ability to survey the entire field for potential targets. He’s does a great job getting his body rotated in line with his receivers.
FOOTWORK:
Can move laterally in all direction with sharp footwork. Can work to improve his steps on drop backs.
POISE:
He runs the show when on the field, dictating the flow of the game. A playmaker who has many weapons at his disposal.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Alex works well in and out of the pocket with good agility and mobility. Able to pick up on the defensive pressure, stepping up or moving laterally to create space for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
He works the entire field, able to locate his best options receivers.
TOUCH:
Another area of strength of Alex as he’s able to hit up over the top and in between zone coverage with a softer release.
