SIZE:
Aliam has excellent size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’4” 202 lbs. A tall presence in the backfield, able to survey the entire field for potential targets. Makes throws that include a high release, adding height to his delivery. Will have college ready size prior to entering the collegiate level.
ACCURACY:
When he sets up for delivery, he’s right on the mark. Good anticipation of his receivers routes with solid ball placement, up and away from defenders. Consistent deliver for added accuracy. Sound throwing mechanics. Solid base and balance upon release.
ARM STRENGTH:
Aliam gets good height and distance on his throws. With his long arm extension, he’s able to get the ball over defensive coverage. Strong throws made at the short and intermediate range. Very impressed with his ability to create a tight trajectory of his deep passes, allowing for minimal air underneath.
RELEASE:
He throws with an over the top delivery, along with an arm motion that’s fully extended. His release point is raised above, giving his throws extra lift.
THROW ON RUN:
Aliam is most comfortable as a pocket passer, with the athletic ability to get to the outside when called for. Displays good body rotation. Will be able to work on his quickness in step and speed to the outside as well as feet placement, setting up for delivery.
FOOTWORK:
He shows good agility as he works to avoid traffic while creating space for himself. Very good footwork on his drop backs, quick and efficient steps.
POISE:
Shows good patience as he waits for the play to develop. He’s not easily distracted by the pressure around him, while staying focused on the play.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good awareness of defensive pressure and well as the space around him. A tall presence in the backfield with good vision.
DECISION MAKING:
He a quick hitting QB, who wastes very little time connected with his target. Quick reads, picking up on his initial targets.
TOUCH:
This is an area of skill for Aliam, he does a nice job added a soft touch to his passes made at intermediate and long range. Solid trajectory with just enough air underneath the ball.
