SIZE:
Amari has good size for a 2022 Dual Threat QB at 6'1" 190 lbs. He works the entire backfield as he uses his mobility to gain added space for himself. A pure Dual Threat who serves as a pocket passer and a legit threat to run the ball.
ACCURACY:
Very good throwing mechanics which remain consistent regardless of the passing situation. Does a nice job getting his body squared up to his receiver as he works from the outside the pocket. Showing good timing and anticipation of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
Amari's able to deliver the football with strong forward momentum on his short and intermediate routes. Throws made with high velocity, allowing for him to open up the field.
RELEASE:
His throws come from over the top with a fully accelerated arm motion, allowing for the ball to get to his receiver in a hurry.
THROW ON RUN:
Amari's very dangerous when he gets to the outside with the ability to pass or run. He’s very difficult to contain and can take it in at any time, showing very good speed and quickness.
FOOTWORK:
An athletic QB who displays good agility in and around the pocket. A playmaker on the field, able to control the pace of a game.
POISE:
Amari does a nice job picking up on defensive pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Able to work within the space around him as he shows good vision downfield. Very difficult to contain.
DECISION MAKING:
Amari shows good judgment on the field while avoiding tight coverage. Controlled aggressiveness, allowing his receivers to make a play on the ball. Good ball placement. He shows good patience as he waits for the play to develop, choosing to pass vs run.
TOUCH:
Does a nice job adjusting the velocity of his throws as he works the ball in between zone coverage.
