SIZE:
Ameer has very good size for a 2021 Dual Threat QB at 6’2” 195 lbs. This QB's a playmaker, can do just about anything on the field. Very creative, able to improvise on the fly. Very good running QB who displays good quickness and speed at 4.47/40. A pure Dual Threat QB, who can work from a pocket passer with ease.
ACCURACY:
Threw for a 63% completion rate this past season. He can hit on anywhere on the field. Whether it comes from on the run or in the pocket, he shows good accuracy. Very good throwing mechanics and consistency.
ARM STRENGTH:
He can let it rip, making big throws at long range including high velocity passes that enter the secondary with dart-like precision.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. Able to gain momentum upon his delivery. Solid footwork prior to set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Very dangerous out in the open field. Can get to the outside in a hurry, seeking out potential targets while getting there. He shows good mobility getting while on the go, showing good body rotation.
FOOTWORK:
This is where Ameer excels. He runs a 4.47/40. Breakaway speed, able to create separation. Very difficult to contain once he's out in the open field. Good vision while on the run.
POISE:
Quick reads on defensive pressure, able to work himself in and around traffic. He shows good patience in the pocket, waiting for his receivers to break on their routes.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable in the pocket whether setting up for deliver or shifting to the outside for a quick hitter. Able to step up in the pocket or move laterally when needed.
DECISION MAKING:
He’s an intelligent QB at 4.0 GPA academically, who makes smart decision on the field. Works well through his progression.
TOUCH:
This is a strong attribute for this QB. He's able to deliver a softer release at all levels.
