Austin has good size for a 2024 Pro Style QB at 5’11” 170 lbs. Very consistent throwing mechanics. He throws with a fully extended arm motion, giving the ball added height upon release.
ACCURACY:
Throws are make in-line with his receivers. Very consistent arm motion and solid footing upon delivery adds to his accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
He’s able to make all of the throws required of him. High velocity throws made at short and intermediate range. Strong throws made at longer distances with good ball placement.
RELEASE:
Austin throws with a very high release point. He has an over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. Solid footwork prior to set up of delivery.
THROW ON RUN:
An athletic QB who works to the outside with good speed and quickness. Squares up with his targets with strong forward momentum.
FOOTWORK:
Good agility in and out of the pocket with fluid mobility.
POISE:
Austin will continue to add confidence in his ability as a QB with more game experience. Very relaxed and calm while in game mode. Works well in 1on1 passing situations.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Does a nice job assessing coverage, hitting his receiver with good ball placement.
DECISION MAKING:
With more game experience at the high school level, Austin will be able enhance his ability to read coverages. He does a nice job seeking out his primary target when open.
TOUCH:
Displays the ability to take something off the velocity for added touch. Tight trajectory at longer distances.
