SIZE:
Austyn has excellent size for a 2025 Pro Style QB at 6’5” 185 lbs. A tall lengthy QB who'll continue to add bulk to his frame. A tall presence in the pocket, able to oversee the entire field for potential targets.
ACCURACY:
A very accurate passer, making throws with sharp precision. His throws are made with good timing, a tight spiral and very good location. Very good throwing mechanics with a consistent delivery.
ARM STRENGTH:
His intermediate throws are made with a strong release and high velocity. Solid vertical passing game with long throws made over coverage.
RELEASE:
Austyn throws the ball with an over the top extension, allowing for the ball to rise upon release. He gets the ball over in a hurry. Excellent throwing mechanics with very good footwork upon set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Displays good mobility as he works to the outside with solid footwork and quickness. Good rotation of his body, able square up with his receivers with strong forward momentum.
FOOTWORK:
Good agility in and out of the pocket. He's a pure pocket passer who can take the ball in on short yardage situations.
POISE:
Very calm under pressure, not letting the noise around him affect his ability to execute the play.Displays good maturity as a Freshman Varsity QB.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good awareness of incoming pressure, able to work around traffic.
