SIZE
Brendon has very good size for a 2023 Dual Threat QB at 6’1” 195 lbs. A super athletic QB who can turn it up at any moment. He shows good toughness, quickness and vision while on the run. Very difficult to contain with elusiveness.
ACCURACY:
High percentage throws with good ball placement. When he gets his feet set, he's right on the mark. His throws are in-line with his receivers, with tight spiral and rotation. Will add to his accuracy with more consistency.
ARM STRENGTH
Very good arm strength, able to reach all areas of the field with high velocity. Doesn’t lose much while on the run. Able to squeeze the ball in tight areas of space, while extending the field with long range passes.
RELEASE:
His throws are made with an over the top, fully extended arm motion. High release point, allowing for added height to his throws. Very sound throwing mechanics.
THROW ON RUN
This is where Brendon works his best, able to improvise while on the go. Very good quickness and speed getting to the outside, serving as a legit Dual Threat, able to go in each direction, pass or run. Very good body rotation and squares up nicely with target.
FOOTWORK:
Brendon shows very good footwork within the backfield, able to move laterally in either direction. He’s very active in the pocket and shows good speed and quickness out in the open field.
POISE:
Strong confidence in his ability to lead his team. He’s very focused while executing the play fully. Controls the pace of the game by his play.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable in the pocket, able to stand tall in the pocket while he surveys the field or take it to the outside. He does a great job reading the defense while on the go.
DECISION MAKING:
A quick thinking QB who's skilled at making quick reads. Works well through his progressions.
TOUCH
Tight trajectory on his deep passes with just enough air. Adds a softer touch on the ball when needed.
