SIZE:
Brentley has good size for a 2028 Pro Style QB at 6’0” 145 lbs. He throws with a high release point, giving the ball adding lift. He sits in the pocket with a tall platform, able to see the entire field. Will continue to develop as a proven QB with added training and reps.
ACCURACY:
Makes throws in-line with his receivers. Displays good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes with good ball placement.
ARM STRENGTH:
Good arm strength on his short and intermediate throws. A very quick release which allows for added velocity.
RELEASE:
Sound throwing mechanics which are consistent and fluid. An over the top delivery with full arm extension.
THROW ON RUN:
Brentley shows good lateral mobility from side to side. Increased acceleration upon release as he squares up with his receiver. An area he'll continue to work on as he sharpens his steps.
FOOTWORK:
A long stride QB who can get from place to place in a hurry. Solid footwork on his drop backs with good spacing.
POISE:
Good awareness of incoming pressure. Good patience in the pocket as he waits for his receivers' break.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Brentley will continue to put together more game reps, getting a good feel for the space around him. He’s able to keep his focus while in play mode.
DECISION MAKING:
Very decisive while seeking out opportunities downfield. Works quickly through his initial reads.
TOUCH:
He does a nice job adjusting the velocity of his throws, creating for a softer toss when needed.
