SIZE:
Brett has good size for a 2023 Dual Threat QB at 6’1” 180 lbs. He’s a quick hitting QB who gets the ball out quickly. Shows good toughness on the run, taking on would-be tacklers. Not afraid to mix it up and challenge a defense.
ACCURACY:
His throws are made with high percentage results, most of them made at the short/intermediate range. His throws are in-line with his receivers with tight rotational spin. Good zip on the ball.
ARM STRENGTH:
High velocity throws, getting through the secondary in a hurry. A quick release with increased acceleration. Can go long with sharp precision along with tight delivery.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery including a high release point. Very good footwork as he works into his set up.
THROW ON RUN:
This is an area of strength for Brett. Displays good quickness and speed as he works to the outside. Strong forward momentum on his throws, as he locks it with his target.
FOOTWORK:
Very good agility within the pocket, working in all directions while creating space for himself.
POISE:
Good feel for incoming pressure, creating space for himself. He’s a confident QB who not afraid to take chances.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He uses the entire backfield as his work area. Can sit in the pocket or take it to the outside, opening up additional passing lanes.
DECISION MAKING:
With most of his offensive plays including quick hitters, Brett does a nice job locating his primary target. Quick instincts, reaction time speeds up when in hurried situations.
TOUCH:
Skilled at adjusting the angle of delivery when needed. A wizard while on the go.
