SIZE:
Bruce has excellent size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’4” 205 lbs. He’s very durable within the pocket, able to sit back patiently as he waits for the play to develop. A tall platform, able to oversee the line of scrimmage. Throws with a high release point, adding height to his delivery.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers adding good ball placement. Good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
A finesse passer who can turn up the heat when the situation calls for it. High velocity throws made within tight windows of space. Extends the field with a solid vertical passing game.
RELEASE:
An over the top passer with a high release point, adding extra height to his delivery. He delivers the ball with a three quarter extension, getting the ball across quickly.
THROW ON RUN:
Bruce is most comfortable as a pocket passer but can also work to the outside with good mobility. Squares up with his target as he locks in.
FOOTWORK:
Does a nice job setting up in the pocket with balanced stride and foot placement.
POISE:
He'll continue to gain confidence in his skills with more reps in game mode.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He’s a tall presence in the pocket, able to see the entire field for potential targets. Shows good patience and timing with his receivers. Not easily distracted, while remaining focused on the play.
DECISION MAKING:
Connects with primary targets with quick reads and decisive throws. With more game experience, Bruce will add to work through his progressions.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength, he’s very good at creating a catchable ball with a soft touch. Adjusting the velocity of his throws at every level.
