SIZE:
Cael has excellent size for a 2022 Pro Style QB at 6’5” 210 lbs. Stands tall in the pocket with excellent vision. A high release point, adding height to his throws.
ACCURACY:
Most of his throws are quick hitters from a spread formation. High percentage throws which include good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Very accurate when able to set up with adequate space and timing. Long range throws made with tight trajectory.
ARM STRENGTH:
Able to extend the field with his vertical passing. Hitting in all areas of the field with good range. Gets the ball in between tight windows of space, with a fully charged delivery.
RELEASE:
Cael throws with an over the top delivery, with arm fully extended. He gets the ball out in a hurry with high release point.
THROW ON RUN:
This will be an area Cael will continue to improve with added speed and quickness. Displays good ball placement, along with strong forward momentum upon release.
FOOTWORK:
Displays solid footwork on his drop backs as well as prior to his set ups before delivery. Can work to improve on his speed and acceleration.
POISE:
Increased confidence in his abilities as he gains more varsity reps. Not easily distracted by the noise around him.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He’s able to see the entire field as he locates his primary targets. Tall presence in the backfield.
DECISION MAKING:
A quick hitting QB who’s able to pick up on defensive coverage. Very decisive with his throws.
TOUCH:
Able to get the ball over the top on fade routes or in between zone coverage. Can add a softer delivery at short range, easing off velocity.
