SIZE:
Carson has excellent size for a 2022 Pro Style QB at 6’5” 215 lbs. He already has ideal college ready size at 6’4”, should be able to add more bulk to his frame over the next couple years. He's a hidden gem, playing well above to level of competition. Exposure is the key for this taleneted QB.
ACCURACY:
His throws are made with a very consistent delivery, tight spiral and excellent location. Very good throwing mechanics with a consistent delivery, adding to his accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
His vertical game is virtually unstoppable because of tight trajectory and distance. This stretches the defense, which lets Carson take advantage of gaps within zone coverage. His intermediate throws are made with a strong release and high velocity.
RELEASE:
Carson throws the ball with an over the top extension, allowing for the ball to rise upon release. He gets the ball over in a hurry. Excellent throwing mechanics with very good footwork upon set up.
THROW ON RUN:
For his size, a very athletic QB who can get to the outside with quick footwork and mobility.
FOOTWORK:
He shows good agility in and out of the pocket, good lateral swing in either direction. He a pure pocket passer who can take the ball in on short yardage situations.
POISE:
A polished QB who's ready to take it to the next level. A standout player, able to take over a game by his play.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Carson owns the pocket, he’s in full control when on the field. He controls the flow of the game. He shows good awareness of the defensive pressure, able to work around it.Carson does a good job going through his progressions, primary targets on down to his secondary outlets. An intelligent QB who has a very good understanding for the game.
TOUCH:
Touch passes made at every level of the field is how to describe Carson's skill at making the proper adjustments to the velocity of his throws.
