SIZE:
Carson has good size for a 2023 Dual Threat QB at 6’2” 198 lbs. A tough competitor who never gives up on a play. He’s very difficult to contain within the pocket. A hard running QB who shows very good acceleration and elusiveness. Throws with a tall platform, adding to the extension of his delivery.
ACCURACY:
Carson's throws are made with good ball location, allowing for his receivers to make a play on it. He works quickly out of the pocket with quick hitters. Good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Can up his accuracy with more consistency on his delivery, tightening his footing prior to set up.
ARM STRENGTH:
Shows good form and arm extension on his release, allowing for greater torque and momentum upon delivery. High velocity throws made at the short and intermediate range.
RELEASE:
He throws with an over the top delivery and a high release point.
THROW ON RUN:
Carson displays good lateral movement and quickness getting to the outside. Throws with strong forward momentum. He’s quite dangerous out in the open field, capable of taking it in for a long gain.
FOOTWORK:
A strong running QB who very difficult to chase down. Showing good vision, allowing for his blockers to set the path. Bursts of speed with separation potential. Nice set up prior to release.
POISE:
He controls the pace of the game with his play. He’s a playmaker. Added progressional work to his game.

A read option QB who works through the play in a hurry, leaving the defense with little time to react.
DECISION MAKING:
A quick hitting QB who able to get the ball to his primary target in a hurry.

Able to adjust the velocity of his throws, creating for a softer delivery when needed.
