Scouting Report

SIZE:
Carter has good size for a 2021 Dual Threat QB at 6'1" 190 lbs. He throws with a tall platform with a fully extended arm motion. Strong velocity throws with a high release point. He should be able to add bulk to his frame over the next few years.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, adding a tight spiral upon release. Good throwing mechanics.
ARM STRENGTH:
Displays throws that are made with high velocity at the short and intermediate range.
RELEASE:
Carter throws with an over the top delivery made with a full range arm motion that comes across quickly. He’s able to generate momentum all the way through his delivery.
THROW ON RUN:
Shows good footwork and mobility as he gets to the outside. He’s able to square his body up with his intended target as he releases the ball with strong forward momentum.
FOOTWORK:
A very athletic QB with quick steps on his dropbacks, and to set up nicely prior to delivery. He demonstrates very good speed out in the open field.
POISE:
With more game experience, Carter will gain more confidence as he works to perfect his craft. He'll do a nice job serving as a Dual Threat QB, able to work, both within the pocket and outside.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good agility and movement in and around the pocket.
DECISION MAKING:
Does a nice job locating his initial target. Able to work off primary receiver, hitting on outlets.
TOUCH:
A strong throwing QB who does a nice job adjusting the velocity of his throws, creating a softer release.
