SIZE:
CJ has very good size for a 2025 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 200 lbs. He’s a pure pocket passer with a tall platform. Able to oversee the entire field. Creates lift on his throws with high release point.
ACCURACY:
Very good throwing mechanics which remains consistent at every level. Gets the ball to his receivers with good anticipation and timing.
ARM STRENGTH:
Long throws made downfield with good distance. Can work to add zip to his throws at short/intermediate range.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. Well balanced stride on his dropbacks.
THROW ON RUN:
An athletic QB who can get to the outside with good mobility. Remains focused on his target as he squares up.
FOOTWORK:
Would like to see him add speed and quickness to his game. Good footwork within the pocket as he works into his setup.
POISE:
He gets locked into the zone while picking apart a defense. Very calm under pressure, not fazed by the noise around him. A confident QB who takes chances downfield.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good sense for the space around him. Able to pick up on incoming pressure. He’s most comfortable within the pocket.
DECISION MAKING:
Picks up on his initial reads, connecting with his primary target. Seeks big play opportunities downfield. With more reps, he'll continue to improve on working through his progressions.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength. CJ delivers a perfect ball with just enough air underneath.
