SIZE:
Cole has very good size for a 2022 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 190 lbs. He's a strong running QB who takes on would-be tacklers head on for additional gain. Very agile within the pocket, able to work in and around traffic. Throws with a high release point for added height.
ACCURACY:
He shows good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Able to place the ball in reach of his targets, allowing them to make a play on it. Good ball placement. Loses a bit of accuracy while on the run, needs to square up more with his targets.
ARM STRENGTH:
His throws include high velocity, reaching his receivers in a hurry. Including a quick snap of the wrist, he’s able to gain momentum upon his release.
RELEASE:
An over the top passer with a high release point and three quarter arm extension. Cole does a nice job making adjustments to the angle of his delivery.
THROW ON RUN:
This is where Cole's at his best, working to the outside with good quickness and speed. Getting the ball out in front of him as he seeks out a target. A legit Dual Threat who can turn it up at any moment. Dangerous out in the open field.
FOOTWORK:
This is another area of strength for Cole. He’s very athletic, able to make plays while on the fly. A playmaker on the field. He gets into the secondary with a burst of speed and moves quickly through the secondary.
POISE:
Not easily distracted when executing a play. A calm presence in the pocket as he shows good patience waiting for a play to develop.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Throws with a tall platform. Works well in and around the pocket with good agility. Good feel for the space around him.
DECISION MAKING:
He does a good job seeking out his best option receiver. With more game experience, will work to improve on his progressions in order to locate his best option receiver.
TOUCH
Cole displays good touch on his throws at the short and intermediate range. Can work to reduce to air underneath his throws at longer range.
