SIZE:
Colin has good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6'0" 175 lbs. He just makes plays. A competitive streak, never gives up on
a play. Should be able add more size over these next couple years. A true leader on the field.
ACCURACY:
This is an area in which he excels. He makes throws that are in-line with his receivers, very catchable with tight spirals. He’s deadly over the middle, throwing darts with good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
Colin can make all of the throws required of him. High velocity throws made at short/intermediate range. Solid vertical passing game.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery that comes across with a fully extended arm motion. Able to generate momentum throughout his arm motion, creating greater velocity throws.
THROW ON RUN:
He's very comfortable as a pocket passer but can also take it outside the pocket more added space. Good footwork and mobility. His throws are made with precision, able to maintain his accuracy while on the run.
FOOTWORK:
Good agility in and around the pocket. Shows good speed moving laterally away from traffic.
POISE:
This is an area Colin's at the top of his game. He shows the maturity needed to lead his team as well and the patience and calm needed to get through difficult situations. He leads by example, showing his teammates his strength as he overcomes adversity.
POCKET PRESENCE:
A tough competitor who doesn’t give up on a play. He seeks out every opportunity downfield being throwing in the towel. Extending the play with his ability to navigate himself around the pocket for added space.
DECISION MAKING:
A very intelligent QB with good defensive reads, able to locate his best option receiver. Doesn’t take many chances with dangerous throws into tight coverage. When he does, he makes sure that the ball gets there with solid ball placement.
TOUCH:
He’s skilled at making the right adjustments with his throws, either by adding extra mustard for high velocity throws or by taking something off for a soft touch.
