SIZE:
Colton has good size for a 2028 Dual Threat QB at 5’6” 105 lbs. He throws with a fully extended arm motion, giving the ball added height upon release.
ACCURACY:
He works well within the pocket, able to survey the field with good patience. A quick hitting QB who gets to ball to his receivers in a hurry.
ARM STRENGTH:
He’s able to make all of the throws required of him. High velocity throws made within the secondary. He loses a bit of the strength on the deeper routes, leaving extra air underneath the ball.
RELEASE:
Colton has a high release point. He has an over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. Solid footing prior to set up of delivery.
THROW ON RUN:
Colton's most comfortable in the pocket but can also venture out with his athletic ability and seek out potential targets.
FOOTWORK:
This will be an area where he'll be able to perfect over time. He shows good agility in and out of the pocket but I would like to see greater speed and quickness added to his game.
POISE:
He’ll gain more confidence with added game experience. Not afraid to take chances downfield, especially in one-on-one situations.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good patience in the pocket, picking up on hidden opportunities.
DECISION MAKING:
With more game experience, Colton will be able enhance his ability to read defenses. He does a nice job seeking out his primary target.
TOUCH:
His throws over the middle include a soft touch, getting the ball in between coverage.
