SIZE:
Cooper has good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 190 lbs. He throws with a high release point, giving the ball adding lift. He sits in the pocket with a tall platform, able to see the entire field.
ACCURACY:
Throws are made in-line with his receivers. Displays good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes with good ball placement.
ARM STRENGTH:
Strong throws made at short and intermediate range. A very quick release which allows for added velocity.
RELEASE:
Very good throwing technique which is consistent and fluid. An over the top delivery with full arm extension.
THROW ON RUN:
Cooper shows good lateral movement from side to side. Good acceleration upon release, solid body rotation. An area he continues to work hard at, improving to get his footwork down.
FOOTWORK:
A longer stride QB who can get from place to place in a hurry. He shows solid footwork on his dropbacks, with even spacing.
POISE:
Demonstrates good patience in the pocket as he waits for his receiver to break of the route.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Cooper will need to put together added game experience, allowing him to get a feel for the space around him. He’s able to keep his focus while in play mode.
DECISION MAKING:
This will be another area in which Cooper will continue to work on with more game experience. Very decisive with his delivery, seeking out his target downfield.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength. He does a nice job adjusting the velocity of his throws, creating for a softer throw.
