SIZE:
Cordero has good size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6'0" 175 lbs. Very raw with his skills but has the potential on becoming the complete dual threat package. He’s a very athletic QB who can hurt a defense, whether as a passer or a runner. A tough running QB who take on would be tacklers, picking up additional yards.
ACCURACY:
Gets the ball to his receivers with good ball location. Would like to see him add a sharper delivery, improving on his throwing mechanics. Body positioning prior to delivery will be key to added accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
Cordero delivers the ball with high velocity and momentum on his release. He can reach any area of the field, making throws up and over coverage with a strong delivery.
RELEASE:
He throws with an over the top delivery with a high release point, giving his throws added lift. A quick release with increased acceleration throughout his throwing motion.
THROW ON RUN:
Cordero's an athletic QB who’s able to work to the outside in a hurry. Will contine to add to his outside game while getting his body aligned with his intended target.
FOOTWORK:
A quick first step, able to get through the secondary with a burst of speed. He shows very good elusiveness and shiftiness as he maneuvers his way around defenders. Very difficult to contain out in the open field. Runs a 4.7/40, capable of getting it down to a 4.6/40.
POISE:
Has many weapons at his disposal and can use them at any moment. Just needs to put it all together with more game experience and training.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good feel for the space around him, able to weave around traffic while creating space for himself. Very good agility in and out of the pocket.
DECISION MAKING:
This will be an area in which Miles will continue to work to improve on next season with more quality game time experience. He shows good patience as he allows the play to develop.
TOUCH:
Good touch on his delivery, getting the ball to his receivers with good ball placement.
