SIZE:
Coult has very good size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 190 lbs. A very mobile QB within the pocket, showing good lateral movement. Tall platform with a high release point.
ACCURACY:
Coult throws a perfect touch pass, able to hit in all areas of the field. He throws a very catchable ball, one made with a tight spiral. Showing good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
He can hit his receivers in all areas of the field, showing good strength in arm. Strong delivery at the short and intermediate range and throws made with good trajectory vertically down the field.
RELEASE:
An over the top passer with a fully extended arm motion. He gets the ball out quickly with strong forward momentum.
THROW ON RUN:
Shows very good quickness getting to the outside, while keeping his eyes downfield. Good body rotation as he squares up with his target.
FOOTWORK:
Good speed and quickness out in the open field with elusiveness. Runs a 4.81/40.
POISE
Coult demonstrates the ability to lead his team downfield with a strong desire to compete. He works quickly from a pocket passer to a dual treat QB, able to play either role and succeed.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good at picking up on the defensive pressure while making space for himself within the pocket. Able to step up in the pocket, or roll to either side as he surveys the field for potential targets.
DECISION MAKING:
Coult shows good patience as he waits for the play to develop. He’s able to pick a defense apart with his soft release passes that get just over zone coverage or in between tight areas of space.
TOUCH:
This is a major area of strength for Coult. He’s able to make plays within the secondary that are made with a soft release and tight trajectory.
