Cruz has very good size for a 2028 Pro Style QB at 6'2' 150 lbs. He stands in the pocket with a tall platform, able to oversee the entire field. He throws with a full extension, giving his delivery added height.
ACCURACY:
A very accurate passer at short and intermediate range, delivering throws tight on a rope. Very good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Sharp precision on his delivery, displays throwing mechanics in a consistent manner.
ARM STRENGTH:
He can attack a defense in many ways, whether it comes from a quick strike over the middle or a deep vertical throw over coverage. Tight trajectory at longer distances.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with a full arm extension. Well balanced stride on his set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Most comforatble as a pocket passer but can work to the outside with good mobility. Gets in-line with his intended target with strong forward momentum.
FOOTWORK:
Not considered a Dual Threat QB but can pick up yardage for short gains if needed. Continues to work on his speed and quickness.

Very calm under pressure, stays focused on the play as he guides it through.

Cruz is able to survey the field for potential targets with good vision.

A quick thinking QB, able to get the ball off in a hurry with good judgment.

His throws are made with a soft touch on bubble screens, able to adjust the velocity of his throws.
