SIZE:
Daylen has excellent size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6’0” 180 lbs. A super athlete who's going to be a top QB prospect coming out of Minnesota. Very versatile. Plays well above to level of competition. A tough QB with a strong running game, willing to take on would-be tacklers for additional yardage. Sets the tone of a game.
ACCURACY:
Sharp precision throws made throughout the field. Delivers the ball with good ball placement, up and away from the defender.
ARM STRENGTH:
Daylen gets the ball to his receivers in a hurry. His short and intermediate throws are made with high velocity. Legit vertical passing game with bombs made downfield.
RELEASE:
Throws with a high release point, adding lift to his delivery. An over the top extension with a fully charged release.
THROW ON RUN:
He’s very quick getting to the outside, able to locate his intended target as he squares up his body in-line for a strong delivery. Quite dangerous out in the open field.
FOOTWORK:
A quick first step moving in all directions. Great burst of speed and mobility while out in the open field. Creates separation from the defense.
POISE:
Excellent awareness of defensive pressure. Able to move in and out of traffic as he creates added space for himself.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable in the pocket, able to assess the defense, while executing the play in an RPO framework. Confident in his abilities as a passer and runner. Very difficult to contain.
DECISION MAKING:
Daylen does a nice job hitting on his primary targets with very decisive passing. He’s able to work down from his primary to secondary route. Quick defensive reads as he works through his options.
TOUCH:
Has good touch, able to get the ball in between zone coverage. Tight trajectory on his deep passes, with just enough air underneath.
