Scouting Report

SIZE:
Donovan has excellent size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’3” 220 lbs. A very durable QB within the pocket. Able to oversee the entire field, standing in the pocket with a tall platform. With his size comes a strong arm, capable of extending defensive coverage.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, displaying a tight spiral and catchable ball. When given the time and space, his accuracy goes way up. Threw for a 65% completion rate this past season.
ARM STRENGTH:
This is one of his QB strengths, his ability to make throws with high velocity, getting to his receivers in a hurry. He can make throws at longer distances with ease, extending the field.
RELEASE:
Very good throwing mechanics with fluid motion. He has an over the top delivery with a fully extended arm-motion.
THROW ON RUN:
For a QB of his size, Donovan shows good mobility getting to the outside. Gets his body in-line with his receivers.
FOOTWORK:
Not considered a Dual Threat but could be useful with the ability to pick up yardage on short gain opportunities.
POISE:
Very confident in his abilities as a QB, shows great patience while waiting for his receivers breaks. He’s a leader on the field, as he works to guide his offensive unit.
POCKET PRESENCE:
A tall presence in the backfield picking up on quick hitters over the middle or going long downfield.
DECISION MAKING:
Quick initial reads while hitting his best option receivers. Works well through his progressions.
TOUCH:
Has the ability of adding a soft touch on his throws by making the right adjustments on the velocity of his throws.
