SIZE:
Drake has good size for a 2024 Pro Style QB at 6'1" 190 lbs. Works out of the spread formation with quick reads, connecting with his initial reads. Very good mobility within the pocket, able to draw the defense in with his play action set.
ACCURACY:
His throws include solid trajectory, getting the ball to receivers in a hurry. He puts it in for his receivers to make a play on it, with good ball location. Picks up on his receivers with good anticipation and timing of their routes. Sets up nicely for added accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
Drake displays very good arm strength on deep patterns and high velocity throws at the short and intermediate range. Gets the ball to his receivers in a hurry.
RELEASE:
Drake throws the ball with an over the top delivery and a fully extended arm motion. Does a nice job adjusting the angle of his delivery to get around defenders. Very good footwork prior to his set up.
THROW ON RUN:
This is where Drake works at his best. Excellent vision down field with the ability to locate a potential target. Does a very good job squaring up with his intended target. Strong forward momentum on his follow through.
FOOTWORK:
Drake displays excellent mobility within the pocket, moving quickly to avoid traffic while creating space for himself. A quick first step, able to get up in hurry.
POISE:
He works well within his offensive unit, using all of his receivers. Shows very good patience in the pocket while waiting for a play to develop.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Has a good feel for defensive pressure and reacts quickly while maintaining his focus on the play.
DECISION MAKING:
He’s a rhythmic passer, working quickly out of the set, with play action and quick hitters. Does a great job selling the play, then delivering a strike into the secondary.
TOUCH:
Solid trajectory with minimal air underneath the ball on his deep passes. Able to create a softer delivery at short and intermediate range easing off the velocity of his delivery.
