SIZE:
Drew has good size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6’2” 187 lbs. A super athletic QB who can punish a defense whether in the air or on the ground. Very versatile, plays both sides of the ball, QB/S. He's a game changer, capable of breaking open a game at any moment.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, showing good throwing mechanics and consistency. Working out of a spread formation, Drew sprays darts throughout the field, with sharp precision.
ARM STRENGTH:
Throws the ball with high velocity and momentum on his release. He can reach any area of the field, making throws up and over zone coverage with a strong delivery.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with a high release point, giving his throws added lift. A quick release as a result of increased acceleration through his throwing motion.
THROW ON RUN:
This is where Drew is most dangerous. Works to the outside with speed and quickness. Good job rotating his body in-line with his intended target.
FOOTWORK:
A quick first step, as he works out of the set. Gets through the secondary with a burst of speed. Displays elusiveness and shiftiness as he maneuvers his way around defenders. Very difficult to contain out in the open field.
POISE:
A legit Dual Threat who can change the game's momentum in a hurry. He comes at you in all directions, many weapons in his arsenal.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good feel for the space around him, able to weave around traffic while creating space for himself. Very good agility in and out of the pocket.
DECISION MAKING:
He shows good patience as he allows the play to develop. Excellent read on the defense, hitting his primary targets right out from the gate.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength for Drew. Not only can he fire the ball into the secondary at short and intermediate range but he can also ease off the velocity, creating a softer toss in between zone coverage.
