SIZE:
Drew has good size for a 2021 Dual Threat QB at 6’2” 170 lbs. He works the entire backfield, using his mobility to create added space for himself as he seeks out opportunities. A pure Dual Threat who serves as a proven pocket passer and a legit threat to run the ball.
ACCURACY:
Very good throwing mechanics which remain consistent regardless of the passing situation. Showing good timing and anticipation of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
Able to deliver the ball with strong forward momentum on his short and intermediate routes. Throws made with high velocity which are made over the defense coverage, allowing for him to open up the field.
RELEASE:
His throws come from over the top with a three-quarter arm extension, allowing for the ball to get to his receivers in a hurry.
THROW ON RUN:
Drew's very dangerous when he gets to the outside, with the ability to pass or run. He’s extremely difficult to contain and can take it in at any time, showing excellent speed and quickness.
FOOTWORK:
Drew's has good quickness with breakaway speed. He’s an athletic QB who can turn it up at any given moment. Can work to improve on his drop backs and set ups.
POISE:
A proven winner, leading his tam to the State Championship this past season. He’s very confident in his abilities, able to take over a game with his skills and athleticism. Does a nice job picking up on defensive pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good agility and movement in and out of the pocket. Able to work within the space around him as he shows very good vision downfield.
DECISION MAKING:
Drew shows good judgment on the field, able to survey the field for possible targets. He's a quick thinker, able to make decisions while on the fly.
TOUCH:
A strong throwing QB who will be able to work to improve on easing off the ball when a softer release at the short and intermediate range.
