SIZE:
Drew has very good size for a 2022 Pro Style QB at 6’3” 185 lbs. He’s a pure pocket passer, sits in the pocket with a tall platform and excellent vision. Should be able to add to his size over these next couple years, a tall and lengthy QB.
ACCURACY:
This is an area of strength for Drew. His throws are in-line with his receivers with excellent timing and ball placement. He can pick apart a defense with his ability to spot opening within zone coverage.
ARM STRENGTH:
Very impressed with his arm strength, he can sling the rock into tight coverage with high velocity releases or take it deep over the top, extending the field with his vertical game.
RELEASE:
Consistent throwing mechanics which adds to his accuracy. An over the top passer with a fully extended arm motion.
THROW ON RUN:
He’s quick to the outside, leading with ball in hand as he seeks out potential targets. Good body rotation as he squares up to his receivers.
FOOTWORK:
Displays good lateral movement while creating additional space for himself. Sharp steps on his drop backs and set ups with good balance and stride.
POISE:
This is another area of strength for Drew, he’s very calm under pressure, showing good patience. A confident QB who trusts in his abilities.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good read on defensive pressure, able to get the ball off quickly.
DECISION MAKING:
His accuracy is helped by his ability to locate his best option receiver, making the right call and hitting the mark quickly. Very good at working through his progressions.
TOUCH:
A strong armed QB who can take something off the velocity of his throws for a softer toss when needed.
