SIZE:
Eli has excellent size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’4” 210 lbs. He’s a tall presence in the backfield, and throws with a tall platform, able to see the entire field. Shows good patience in the pocket, able to wait for the play to develop. A hard throwing QB who can hit in all areas, Throws with a high release point, giving his throws added height.
ACCURACY:
This QB is almost always right on the mark. He has a very consistent delivery, allowing for minimal variation on his arm motion. Very good at picking up the timing and anticipation of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
This QB is a legit strong-armed passer. Able to turn it up with increased acceleration throughout his delivery. His throws are made with high velocity, getting to his receivers in a hurry.
RELEASE:
Throws with a fully extended arm motion which comes out from over the top. A high release point, giving his passes added height. Very good throwing mechanics which are consistent on every delivery.
THROW ON RUN
Eli is most comfortable within the pocket but can also be quite dangerous out in the open field. He maintains the same consistency and velocity on his throws outside the pocket.
FOOTWORK:
An athletic QB, with fluid mobility and quickness. Solid footwork on his drop backs and set ups. Would be difficult to bring down while on the run.
POISE:
Very calm demeanor within the pocket as he works to assess the defensive coverage.
POCKET PRESENCE:
This is where Eli works at his best. He’s calm under pressure, while showing excellent consistency on his throws and good vision downfield.
DECISION MAKING:
Does an excellent job working through his progressions. He uses every option available to him as he goes from his primary to secondary outlets. Very skilled at 7v7 play.
TOUCH:
Excellent touch on his throws that are made within zone coverage and well as on the deeper routes. He does a nice job adjusting the velocity of his throws.
