My name is Eli Mattox. I am a pro-style QB with a passion and aptitude for the game of football. This past season, I had the honor of being the starting QB at Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Even though my school’s football program underwent some major changes in our 2021 season (new head coach, new offensive coordinator, new defensive coordinator, and an entirely new playbook), we still had a successful season and accomplished a lot. In 9 games played, I threw for 1682 yards and 15 passing TDs. I was proud to lead this team in 2021 and I look forward to another great season next year. My best attributes on the field are my leadership skills, my ability to remain calm under pressure, and my high football IQ. I am also very accurate, have good arm strength, and I can skillfully read defenses. Off the field, I am a person with strong faith, I am of good moral character, and I am a likeable and loyal friend to many. In addition, I am very strong academically, having a cumulative GPA of 3.9 on an unweighted 4.0 scale, and I scored a 1300 on my SATs. I started playing football when I was 5 years old. Since then, it has been my dream to play QB at the collegiate level. I am certain that, if given the chance, I will make an excellent addition to a football program and community.
