SIZE:
Elijah has very good size for a 2022 Dual Threat QB at 6’2” 205 lbs. He sits in the pocket with a tall platform. Good length with full arm extension, giving his throws added height. Will add more bulk to his frame over these next couple years.
ACCURACY:
His throws are on target with his receivers, hitting them in-line whether he’s stationary or on the run. Loses a bit of accuracy at longer distances.
ARM STRENGTH:
He’s able to generate momentum upon his release, increasing the velocity of his throws. Gets the ball to his intended target in a hurry.
:RELEASE:
Elijah has an over the top delivery with a high release point. It comes across with a fully extended arm motion.
THROW ON RUN:
A lengthy QB who gets to the outside with good quickness. Able to adjust the rotation of his body while getting fixed on his target prior to set up.
FOOTWORK:
Very good speed and quickness at a 4.66/40. He continues to perfect his skills as a Dual Threat, combining his throwing ability with his running ability. Elijah's an athletic QB who shows good lateral movement and quickness.
POISE:
He seems very relaxed in the pocket, able to settle in while locking down on his target. He continues to gain confidence in his abilities as a QB, trusting in his skills.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good agility in and around the pocket. He works well in both directions, showing good lateral movement.
DECISION MAKING:
Very decisive on his delivery, wasting very little time getting the ball off.
TOUCH:
Would like to see a tighter trajectory at longer distances. He’ll be able to work on touch improvements on his short and intermediate game, while adding a softer touch.
