Size:
Erskine has good size for a 2027 Pro Style QB at 5'11" 150 lbs. His throws are made with a high release point, giving the ball added height. Good arm strength, getting the ball over coverage.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers with good timing and ball placement. When he gets squared with his target, he's right on the mark.
ARM STRENGTH:
Shows strong throws made with high velocity at short and intermediate range. Able to extend the field with his vertical passing game.
RELEASE:
A left-handed passer. He throws the ball with an over the top delivery with a full extended arm motion. Able to get the ball out in a hurry, giving the defense little time to react.
THROW ON RUN:
He shows good athleticism as he works to the outside, keeping himself in-line with his receivers. A threat to run when out in the open field.
FOOTWORK:
Erskine displays good footwork on his dropbacks as well as his set ups. Would like to see added quickness in step along with increased speed.
POISE:
Continues to improve on his game with training. He displays good awareness of the incoming pressure, able to create added space for himself.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Erskine works well in and around the pocket, demonstrating good agility. He’s most comfortable as a pocket passer but can get to the outside with good mobility.
DECISION MAKING:
Shows good patience in the pocket as he waits for the play to develop. Good initial read, getting the ball to his primary target.
TOUCH:
He does a great job making the right adjustments to the velocity of his throws to add a softer touch when needed.
