SIZE:
Ethan has very good size for a 2022 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 210 lbs. He stands tall in the pocket, able to survey the field for potential targets. High release point, adding height to his delivery.
ACCURACY:
Works well within the flow of the game. Does a great job leading his receivers, adding a soft touch on his release. His throws are in-line with his receivers with a tight spiral and zip on the ball.
ARM STRENGTH:
He gets the ball out in a hurry, leaving the defense very little time to react. A very dangerous vertical passing game with long throws made over coverage.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with a high release point. The ball is held back fully extended. Able to get it off quickly with a compact arm motion. Able to get his feet set prior to delivery.
THROW ON RUN:
Ethan's an athletic QB with very good lateral movement. He gets off the block quickly while assessing the passing situation downfield. Good rotation of body, squaring up to target.
FOOTWORK:
He has a quick first step, showing good balance and rhythm on his dropbacks. He can serve as a Dual Threat when needed, displays good speed quickness out on the open field.
POISE:
Very confident in his abilities as a QB. He trusts his instincts, able to keep the play alive while showing off his creativity.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Shows good patience in the backfield, able to sit back and wait for the play to develop. Ethan's able to pick up defensive pressure, creating added space for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
He’s able to pick up on defensive coverage while seeking out high percentage opportunities downfield.
TOUCH:
This is an area in which he excels in. His throws are made with a soft touch, whether its over secondary or into pockets of zone coverage. Ethan's able to hit his target with tight trajectory and adjustment to his velocity.
