SIZE:
Gabe has excellent size for a 2021 QB at 6’5” 205 lbs. He stands in the pocket with a tall platform, able to see the entire field. His throws include a high release point, which gives rise to the ball. Frame capable of adding more bulk as he preps for the collegiate level.
ACCURACY:
His throws reach his receivers with good ball placement, accuracy and timing. Whether his passes are made at the short or long range, Gabe is right on the mark when given time to set up. Remains consistent while on the run.
ARM STRENGTH:
A strong armed QB who can fire it into the secondary on a rope, or lay it out on a fly route at long distance. His vertical passing game can’t go unnoticed by defenses. He can reach well beyond defensive coverage.
RELEASE:
He releases the ball with an over the top delivery and fully extended arm motion. This gives his throws added height. His motion is smooth and consistent. Very good footwork prior to set up.
THROW ON RUN:
For a QB of his size, Gabe is super athletic. He shows excellent mobility as he moves to the outside of the pocket, getting his feet in front of him and in-line with his potential targets.
FOOTWORK:
Classified as a Pro Style QB, he's very comfortable getting to the outside. Solid footwork on his drop backs and set ups.
Gabe's confidence level is way up there. He believes in abilities and feels comfortable within the pocket.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He’s very difficult to contain within the pocket. Displaying very good agility and mobility. Able to step up in the pocket or roll out for added space.
DECISION MAKING:
Gabe does a nice job working with his primary targets. He's able to work through his progressions, from primary to secondary outlets.
TOUCH:
I was very impressed in his ability to adjust the velocity of his throws. From his soft touches on the fade routes, to his laser strikes over the middle.
