SIZE:
Gavin has very good size for a 2026 Pro Style QB at 5'11" 190 lbs. This QB is fundamentally sound. He stands in the pocket with a tall platform, surveying the entire field. His throws include full extension, giving lift to his delivery.
ACCURACY:
A very accurate passer with good anticipation and timing of his receivers' routes. He’s so precise with his delivery, showing good throwing mechanics in a consistent manner.
ARM STRENGTH:
Gavin attacks the defense in so many ways. Whether it comes from a quick strike over the middle or a deep vertical throw on a pump fake. Good strength in arm with high velocity throws.
RELEASE:
This is an area of strength. He's very consistent with his delivery. Comes from over the top with a full arm extension. Well balanced stride on his dropbacks.
THROW ON RUN:
Displays athleticism while on the run. Gets to the outside quickly as he squares up evenly with tight body rotation. Doesn’t lose much in accuracy as while on the run.
FOOTWORK:
Not considered a Dual Threat QB but can pick up short gains if needed. Does a nice job getting set prior to delivery.
POISE:
Good awareness of incoming pressure, stepping up or moving laterally for added space. Very calm under pressure, stays focused on the play as he guides it through.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Gavin's very comfortable in the pocket. Good agility in and out of the pocket.
DECISION MAKING:
Many weapons in his arsenal as he works through his progressions. Quick instincts, able to get the ball off with just enough time.
TOUCH:
His throws are made with a soft touch, adjusting the velocity of delivery in certain passing situations.
