SIZE:
Gavin has excellent size for a 2025 Pro Style QB at 6’4” 205 lbs. He’s able to see the entire field, standing in the pocket with a tall platform. With his size comes a strong arm, able to extend the field with bombs delivered. Fully extended arm motion.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, displaying a tight spiral and catchable ball. Very consistent in his delivery with excellent throwing mechanics, adding to his accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
This is one of his QB strengths. His ability to make throws with high velocity, getting to his receivers in a hurry. He can make longer throws with ease, extending defensive coverage.
RELEASE:
A left handed passer with a fluid motion. He has an over the top delivery with a fully extended arm-motion.
THROW ON RUN:
Gavin's a pure pocket passer who can work to the outside with good speed and quickness as he sets up for delivery. Shows good quickness out in the open field as he squares up with his receivers.
FOOTWORK:
Good agility within the pocket, able to move in either direction, creating added space for himself. Very consistent stride and balance on his dropbacks and set ups.
POISE:
Very confident in his abilities as a QB, shows great patience while waiting for his receivers' breaks.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very poised while seeking out potential targets. A tall presence in the pocket, able to oversee the entire field.
DECISION MAKING:
An intelligent QB, able to assess the defense and strike on a quick hitting throws to his primary targets. Works well through his progressions in 7v7 play, going from primary to secondary outlets.
TOUCH:
Has the ability of adding a soft touch on his throws while adjusting the velocity of his delivery. A hard throwing QB at short range with tight trajectory throws made at long range.
